What is the Carib Swim Team Association?
The Carib Swim Team Association (CSTA) is a parent run non-profit swim club that offers swim lessons and competitive swimming. It is run by a parent elected board and a full-time swim coach. Their goal is to teach swimmers to be successful in life by learning how to be successful in the pool.
Does CSTA offer swim lessons?
Yes Carib Swim Team Association offers swim lessons. We offer lessons to 4-5 year olds and well as 6 and older swimmers. They are offered on a variety of days and times.
Who can Join CSTA Competitive Team?
Any individual living on the island that can swim 25 meters unassisted on their front and back may try out for the team.
Must I have a Diploma to join the team?
Diplomas are not required to join the team; however they are a way to demonstrate to the Coach you can fulfill the swimming requirements to join the team.
If I join the team can I get my Diploma?
If you join the team you can still acquired your Diploma or continue to get further Diplomas.
When and where will my child get to Swim in Competitions?
We participate and host swim meets of a variety of levels and locals. In a typical year we will host 4 swim meets. We also typically travel to 3 swim meets in St. Barths. These are predominately focused on athletes new to the sport. For the more Dedicated athletes, who are trying to compete at the national and international level we have or will be participating in meets such as; Netherlands Antilles Championships (Curacao), CARIFTA, ODESURE, USA, French Nationals, and Barbados Nationals, just to name a few. No child is required to participate in swim meets, but they are a great way to demonstrate what they have learned and most importantly HAVE FUN!
